Spiderman Caught in Police Web

French Spiderman, Alain Robert, was netted by police as he reached the 60th floor in his bid to scale the Kuala Lumpur Towers.

The self-described '60% disabled' spider expressed his disappointment saying "for a spider to be caught in a web is very embarrassing"

The human spider had previously succeeded in scaling a number of landmarks around the world including the Eiffel Tower, The Empire State Building, and Sear's Tower. Not without incident, however, Alain's biggest scare came in Istanbul last year when climbing Sabanci Towers. While inching his way up, a window opened outwards almost knocking him off. A short while after, the head of an old woman appeared shouting "Buda ne? Sepetsiz mi yapiyorsun?". She had assumed he was a greengrocer making deliveries.

His only other scare came shortly afterwards on the same building when another old woman, thinking him to be a window cleaner, poked him with a stick complaining that he had missed hers.

On his Kuala Lumpa experience, Alain commented "Zut Alors! What 'arm can such a little spider cause to such a strong building. I am thinking these Malaysians are, 'ow do you say, aracnophobique and I am starting to think those crazy old women of Turkiye are magnifique"

It's Not A Dog's Life

Malaysian CD pirateers are thinking of using their own sniffer dog to seek out the police dogs that uncovered their cache of almost a million pirate CDs.

Desperate to put an end to the runaway police dog team, crime boss, Jpeg Legg, told our undercover reporter "It's not a dog's life we're after ... it's two" referring to the two labradors, Lucky and Flo, that had dealt such a blow to his gang's dealings, and who were now under police protection in a secret location following Jpeg's death threats.

"We'll get 'em alright" Jpeg convinced our man "thanks to this 'ere Timbers" he said referring to his very own sniffer dog.

"Arrgh me labby!" said Jpeg handing Timbers the scent of his wife, who was hiding in a barrel in the next room. Setting his dog on the trail, the pirate growled "Sniff 'er me Timbers or those dogs'll be the death-a-me"

So when you next hire or buy a pirate CD on the streets of Istanbul, remember you'll have Lucky's and Flo's blood on your hands ...
