That's one perspective... here's another -

I gave up a career in the corporate world to travel and English teaching seemed the best way to work my way around... at least that's what I saw it as, basically preferable to bar work.

So I was completely surprised at how much I enjoy it and how much more rewarding that the corporate world I found it to be. Sure, the pay is, in general, shit and the classes are not always fascinating, but at the end of the day I definitely enjoy it more.

I guess you won't know until you try it and it's certainly not for everyone, but like most things, it's what you make of it.

have always had the desire to teach. and the 'corporate world' is not necessarily for everyone either..
going to give it a go..never know until then
