TILS (an ex Telecom Italia training company) is to BE AVOIDED at all costs. People who have been working for them have not been paid since October 2006. When we (over 60 teachers from Milan to Rome) suspended the courses until we get paid, we were then cheekily told we would be "replaced" read fired. All the teachers are now taking legal action against them in order to receive payment, damages and interest. Essentially I'm putting this up to WARN any new teachers taken on that they WILL NOT BE PAID and are fed a lot of rot about freedom, great students etc. DO NOT GET INVOLVED with them under any circumstances. You will be encouraged to open a P.I at YOUR EXPENSE, so they will continue to have a laugh why they rake it in.

Thanks sidhbhra, and glad to see that you had some teacher solidarity.

Doubt if they'll get this far North, but always worth knowing.

I used to work with TILS a long time ago in Rome, but I heard that they'd folded a few months or a year back.

TILS were responsible for all Telecom Italia training, so it's quite possible they would need teachers in the north, tho' perhaps not where you are Sue.
