CELTA and Trinity CTESOL are equally prestigous (!!) qualifications. UK schools will accept either and the best will demand one or the other.
A TEFL certificate is just a generic term for any certificate involving Teaching EFL. On its own it's pretty meaningless but may be better thyan nothing in some parts of Asia.
Cambridge and Trinity universities do not offer the qualification, they administer them, or, more accurately, they lend thiern ame and prestige to the organisations that do, in fact, administer the qualifications.
Basically a Celta/CTESOL is a Celta/CTESOL is a Celta/CTESOL, wherever you it is taken as, in theory, standards are ensured (and standardised(!) by the adminstering body. In fact some places have the reputation as being easier than others to pass at, but in practice nobody will give a monkeys where your Celta/CTESOL comes from. |
