Can anyone tell me how much the phone will cost if i buy one there? I plan to do pay as you go. Which companies are the better ones to us?

 A lot...I paid $3000 for a second hand nokia I bought due to the simple fact the buttons were far apart as I was entering the wrong code when I put in the pre-paid card numbers due to having fingers much bigger than the buttons on a Panasonic I already had. Prices for new ones generally start around $3000. |

Hi guys,
I'm resurrecting this old topic because I was unable to find a more recent one when I did a search.
Anyway, I'll be coming over to Taipei in December for 3 months and was wondering what the situation is like for getting a prepaid mobile phone.
How easy is it to do so (I'll have a student visa), how much does it cost to buy the phone and each time you charge it, and which shop do you recommend I visit?

No problem, cell phones galore and shops which sell phones, plans cards etc. Literally they are shops selling them on every down town block.
even 7/11 sell cards.
Cheapest is with a company paln, but if here for 3 months only a prepaid card is the way to go. last one i brought was about 10 dollars.
There are so many selling that info given now would probably be out of date by xmas |
