I recently finished my student teaching in Atenas and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I want to go back to Costa Rica and find a teaching job as soon as possible. I am a certified Spanish teacher now, but I think it would be better for me to go back with a TEFL certification as well. I am thinking about doing an online course. Does anyone know of any good online courses that are not too expensive? |

Online courses are generally not so great. You want something that gives you teaching practice. But if you already have teaching practice (even if it's not in English), I'm not so sure a TESOL certification would be relevant for you. It doesn't give you much higher pay or anything.
Many questions like this have been asked and answered over at the Newbie forum, I think. |

i can recommend Jeff Mohamed's online course. it is thorough, practical, inexpensive, and he has over 30 years in the business. he is dependable. excellent all around. do a search and you'll find him. |
