Hi, new to the forum.
Just got offered a ALT position with WYS Japan. They cover airfare and provide a furnished apartment in Saitama. The pay is the usual 250,000 yen a month. Will be teaching in a junior high school. It's a Mon-Fri, 8-5 gig.
I was a little surprised that I got offered the position and contract. I currently reside in San Diego, am TEFL certified but only have about three months of teaching experience and speak no Japanese.
All I did was a 3 min video introduction, phone interview and filled a teaching questionaire all from my home. Never went to a hiring session.
This sounds like a pretty good contract for my first time teaching in Japan, just wish I had some more info on the company.
Any help?
