I received an email today from UBS school.
They advertise themselves as,"an online education open marketplace that brings together native-speaking language tutors with language students from around the globe."
Basically, you register with the school online, connect with your PayPal account, and students contact you and you give private tutoring sessions via web cam/headset, and you are paid through PayPal.
So I ask, has anyone done this/considered this/heard anything about this? The website says it's all asian students. Curious as to what the pay rates would be? |

I trialed this technology back in 2001, when the software was ropey and the connections unreliable. It is far more unnerving acting out a class in your own home than in a classroom, but if you can make money from it, I dont see why it's not worth a shot. I'd just beware of teaching a full month of classes and then never seeing any money... |
