I am trying to find some good website or head hunter agency specializing in placing foreigners in Japanese companies or foreign companies in Japan.

I already live here in Japan and work in IT but would like to see what else is available...

Do you know some good website or other contact info?

Well, considering that this forum is part of Dave's ESL Cafe and not Dave's I.T. Cafe..... Probably not the area of expertise for most of those posting here, us being English teachers n' all. Confused

Well I was hoping to hear from someone that for example came to Japan to teach but is looking for other career opportunities and/or made the cross or at least knows someone who did it and then what resources he/she used to do that.

What sort of experience and credentials do you have? Level of Japanese?

www.daijob.com is a good place to start, but you have to be very highly fluent.

Have you tried www.jobsinjapan.com ?

Dude, get thee to GaijinPot.com

That's where I found several IT jobs for foreigners in Japan, including the job that I held for most of the last year.

There are also "job fairs", but they're not cheap to attend and are one-shot-deals, so I would recommend (free) GaijinPot.com instead.

Beware, though-- GaijinPot's spam policy is abhorrent. If you say "OK, let me know when new jobs are posted at GaijinPot.com", then will pound your mailbox EVERY DAMNED DAY with totally irrelevant job-ads, and include "sponsor" ads (spam-within-spam) at the top and bottom of each of those damned daily updates.

So, use GaijinPot, but do NOT sign up for their d###ned "job update" newsletters unless you like the taste of 3 lbs of spam every day.
