|
|
A student of mine is moving to Tokyo at the end of this month and asked me if I knew of any schools in Nerima-ku. Any recommendations will be much appreciated (big 4, Gaba etc need not apply). I don't know Tokyo at all so I'm relying on the collective wisdom of the board for help.
She may be willing to go the private teacher route as well but please PM me for that.
Thanks for your time. |

Nerima-ku is a small ward that is almost entirely residential and pretty much without any major stations/ shopping areas, which would really limit her choices. Both Ikebukuro and Shinjuku are just a few stations away- does she absolutely insist that the school be in Nerima itself? |

She's newly married from the inaka, she'll be travelling an hour each way to work (I know not a lot for Tokyo but a lot for her) so I imagine she'll want something local. |

If memory serves, Nerima ward includes Kami Shakuji to Tanashi and it's also not far from Kichijoji. I used to live in Suginami (next to Nerima) and there're some schools around, but I couldn't tell you their names. |

I don't think she needs much help. Just walking around near her station, she'll easily be able to find schools.
If she were trying to avoid English schools she might need some special strategy. |
