|
|
We have just bought our new summer house in Bodrum. Those of you who can afford to do likewise should look into this link.
http://www.turkeyselectproperty.com/
We paid 185 000ytl and we expect to gain 25% capital appreciation by the time the house is ready in April 2008. Should take about 4 years for the house to double its value.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the area, Gulluk in Bodrum has some of the most fantastic scenery in the country. Rent prices are sky-high in Bodrum so we aim to rent it at 80% occupancy and provide ourselves with an extra income. I strongly recommend it. |

Sounds like a nice idea hmaf but, do you think you are the only one with the same idea?
I would be interested to know exactly what you got for that money in terms of the number of rooms, extras, like a dishwasher or fridge parking area ,not to mention the actual size of the place in square metres . |

Well at least we know where the Turkish branch of the GRFC supporters club is having its annual pi$$ up..... as opposed to the daily pi$$ up. |

You are always welcome D. No bother for Osasuna. I've got free corporate hospitality for the final at Hampden courtesy of the old boy. |

Thanks for the low down hmaf,I have seen too many of those websites on Turkish property .I think what you paid is more than I would be prepared to lay out ,I think that goes for most of us as well ,still nice one hope its worth the expense . Btw were you able to get a mortgage or did you have to stump up the full amount ? |

Harry the hobbit is looking to buy a place of his own to invite fellow hobbits for a well earned break . The only problem one finds is that he doesn't have enough funds . As the hobbit does not have a well heeled father in law to buy said property how does he make up the difference ?The hobbit has heard about mortgages been available sometime later this year, can anyone tell Harry if foreigners and hobbits are able to get them or does one have to be a Turkish resident . Thanks for any replies even the unfriendly and sarcastic ones . |

A rather effective though not exactly flower strewn path to property purchasing is to work in the desert ... bearing in mind, however, that a handsome hobbit like yourself could well turn into a smeagol ...
Alternatively, you could always make like a hobbit and play servant to the desires of a rich man's ring ...
