Hi
Ive been trying to buy a Japanese Fender Jaguar guitar (a blue one with the competititon stripe thing) and in Australia they are charging a fair bit for them when I know they are relatively inexpensive in Japan.
Can anyone do me a favour and buy me one - ill give them the $$ up front and all that. And I can give the person who buys it for me $50-$100 for their trouble.
It would be a huge favour.
Cheers

You are crazy asking people you don't know to buy you something and willing to pay up front. |

As a musician myself, I can certainly relate... Although I'm a little skeptical about whether or not it WOULD in fact be cheaper in Japan, especially when you factor in international shipping to Oz. That kinda goes against most reason. Then again, I know that if you buy a Strat (Stratocaster) that's made in Japan you will pay less than a Strat made in the U.S.
If you PM me a model # of the guitar in question, I can ask at my local music shop the next time I'm there... But seriously, don't hold your breath.

Hey guys
Im kinda surprised some people suggest its crazy to trust someone over there. I guess from past experience there are some dodgy types in the ESL community (well Taiwan and Korea from experience anyway) but if someone was low enough to rip me off then the karma is on them im afraid.
I starting to get the feeling that jaguars arent as cheap as I first believed in japan. I wonder how cheap secondhands ones would be, but i dont know how easy these would be to find in Japan??
Thanks for the repliese anyway. |

Why don't you try a website that is more music or japan in general oriented than that of an EFL/ESL site?
Has not google also turned up some of what you're asking on here? Ebay? etc.
I'll also add as well that most likely, you're going to pay more for it. |
