Hey everybody,
I wanted to start a thread which revolves around discussion of best teaching practice in the Taiwan TEFL field.
How many of you hold specific TEFL qualifications and/or training?
Has anybody begun TEFL teaching for a while and then gone out to get those qualifications after? If so, has this helped you to do your job better?
Does anyone have tips and ideas about a teaching philosophy/ broad technique?
Does anyone have public school teaching experience from your home countries?
Has anybody begun teaching here in Taiwan and would consider a career in education back home?
Does anyone have teacher training experience and would like to share any thoughts about the differences between training teachers and teaching students?
How much personal research do you do to improve your teaching skill set and what resources have you found online that have improved your technique?
Lots of questions, I know, but I'm genuinely interested in sketching out a picture of teaching experience and ability on this board... not to mention I'm always willing to gold dig great ideas from teachers who are in the thick of it!
Thanks in advance! |
