Keep reading this forum regularly. It has a decent signal-to-noise ratio and you'll learn a lot about teaching in Mexico before you make the big trip down.

There was something about the ITESM opening up an English medium exclusive high school this fall a while back. You might be able to make as much (or maybe more?) teaching high school chemistry in English there or at other exclusive high schools in Mexico City or other large cities. But, then maybe you're looking for a change?
A TEFL course and some experience will get the majority of jobs in Mexico. Your resume would be interesting to me because we have Chemists here at the university and they have to publish their research articles in English which means I have to clean their English up for them and I often don't have any idea what it is they are trying to say, so it's hard to tell them how they should say it!
