Is the maximum age for receiving a legit work visa in the KSA 60 years old? Thanks in advance for any information |

I hope someone has the definitive answer for this one. You'd think it was 60, but judging from the ads I've seen, they don't seem to want to hire over 55.
Why, I don't know.

Yes, but isn't that for Saudis only? I doubt that it has anything to do with expat teachers.
And, what about teachers like Scot47, who was over 60 and just left... and he resigned having nothing to do with his age. |

VS, apparently, some (but not all) employers/recruiters are applying the same age limits to their expat teachers, which is probably why the OP asked the question. I've also seen a few ads stating specific age limits in their list of qualifications. One even required applicants be under 48! |

One hard and fast rule for Saudi is that... there are no hard and fast rules. Various ads give various ages, and presumably those employers follow their ads. But most ads give no age, and if someone is pushing 60... you won't know for sure unless you apply.

I was ancient when I left. I know people even more venerable still on Saudi Iqamas. Conventional wisdom is that you have to be HIRED before 60, but even that rule has been broken by some.

Someone at my workplace was hired well past 60. He was probably nearer 70. Anything is possible, in the magic kingdom... |

He's 68, actually. This is according to a friend who works at the same place. How long have you been there? |
I don't know if we're talking about the same person. The gentleman in question was fired around 3 months ago.
Also, I don't work for Edex, if that's what you're thinking. |
