International Schools, in general, pay well have good benefits and teaching materials. It sure would pay better than a language school job.

Haven't heard of it either, but you should be getting about 1500 Euro after taxes going by what other people are earning at such schools. International schools 'should' be good but it depends on the owner. A lot of the 'British' or 'American' schools here are no better than private language schools. The location isn't bad though, being more central than a lot of them.

Hi again,

Rents are quite high. You could find something around Iancului or Vatra Luminoasa, perhaps a one-bedroomed place for about 350 Euro, which would allow you to walk to work. There is a metro near the school too so it's pretty easy to get to if you want to live further away.

You always have to be careful of scammers, beggers and the like. I can say that it's a lot better now than it was a few years ago. You have to take the normal precautions when using public transport or walking in the streets, but nothing excessive. There are beggers, buskers, gyspy kids looking to pickpocket, but you soon develop a natural instinct for protecting yourself.

Anyway, PM if you need more info. Your school is in my area so I can give you advice about flats, agents, costs, etc.
