I have a B.S. in Economics a 120 hour TESOL certificate and 2 years teaching experience in Korea.

I am thinking about completing a MA in TESOL at a Thai university (others have told me they recommend I enter a program in an English speaking country - however, for several reason I am not interested - it is a Thai MA or none at all). Would such a MA have any value in Hong Kong?

Better yet, get an American MA while living in Thailand.

Why don't you try out the program at Framingham? I cannot say how good it is but it would defintely be better for you than a Thai MA.

If you contact that email you should be able to find out about their program in Thailand.

You could also try their MA in Poland:

I am only interested in an on-site program in Thailand.

Sorry that I cannot find the link about their Thai program but I am pretty sure that it exist. It is an intensive program. The classes are during semester vacations.

The Masters in Poland will give you an idea about the outline of the program. I think that the program in Thailand is run similarly.

An option might be Thammasat, one of the better Thai universities. Two year program is done over weekends on-site at their central Bangkok campus. Classes of course consist of mostly Thais and the program director is Thai, but it is done in English and has (or used to have) two foreign faculty teaching the program.
