Hi Folks,
Does anyone know any details about The Industrial Academy in Jubail?
They are advertising on TEFL.com and it all sounds wonderful but you never can tell, can you?

Any info. gratefully received.

It was alleged they had a cash flow problem, and had difficulties getting salaries to teachers on time, and that the manners of the managers left something to be desired.

As always, you are going to have to make your own judgement call, as to who is telling the truth.

The OP is talking about somewhere completely different but as most of the rest of your post is also fiction some may not think that matters.

Thanks for the links. I had a good look at them and I'm not sure what to think. On one level it seems that something must have happened to set those slanging matches off, although what it was is diificult to deduce. On another level, the nature of the invective against The Industrial Academy seems to suugest a personal interest - rivalry, envy, a broken promise or unpaid debt? It's difficult to say. I think I need to make more enquiries. Anyway, thanks for your time in posting the links for me.

By the way, I see the post from the ranting oddball on this thread got deleted. I think he had been licking tropical toads or eating strange mushrooms. Smile

well Sweeney, i was one of the ranters back when also. I had a friend who worked for this lot and he's still in recovery. Some of the threads may well have been impassioned but then no smoke without fire, isnt it ? .. why not try them out and prove us all wrong ?

You misunderstand. The 'ranting oddball' I mentioned was someone who posted a reply on this thread. It was in 2nd position between the 2 posts from Stephen Jones. It wasn't you. Don't take offence.

If you have any more information I'd be glad to read it. How about sending me a private message if you aren't comfortable posting it on the public board?

I must admit, I'm rather dubious about all this. Apart from the links which I checked out, I also notice that over 100 people have viewed this thread and yet details seem very scarce.
