This morning, before heading off for work, I decided to check in here as I am wont to do. Immediately I noticed YET AGAIN one of those weird-o "newbies" who've been around forever under different guises, only to be booted out after insulting several posters and trying to lock down varied threads.

Now it's the afternoon and I'm back yet again and noticed the culprit and his demeaning posts are already gone! So, thanks to the mod(s) who caught this guy right away and took care of business. Whenever the, ahem, *gentleman* returns and any other "new", crabby posters come online, the best cure is to ignore them. Any kind of response or challenge or mud-slinging only adds fuel to their fire and you're NEVER going to get the last word.

I welcome debate and I've been known to post an irate response or two, but some tend to go overboard on their seeming hatred for people they don't even know!!! So, thanks again moderators!

Nice post Kev.
I am guilty of replying to some of those kinds as you have mentioned above. However, I do try to use as much discretion as I can lately with those ones. When I was "younger" forums user, I tended to confront those kinds more often than now. Either I am more experienced user or really older now. Confused
Thank you mods
and
cheers and beers to all ages as well as all kinds of posters except the ones that Kev has mentioned Very Happy

The job of a mod should pay five times what the job of a well-paid TEFL teacher pays...

Actually, it's quite a shame that the job even has to exist.Especially among people who are "teachers", and I assume more than language is picked up by the students.

I am new here. But I have been a long time reader. It seems (in my opinon) that bake_me_a cake and joe's garage are the same person.
Someone with way too much time on their hands and a lot of negative energy that needs venting.

I feel sorry for you whoever you may be..

And thanks to the moderators for expelling the offender.

James, no matter how long you've been around or readin' on, you might've nailed it there.
Now, I am not sure about that "negative energy", although those "cake hands in a garage" are quite something. I've been honored by this one and have even received a few pms from. Wink
I don't know about the expelling, since the last pm that I've got from the fruit cake was a day or two ago. (sorry I haven't checked my mail box)

Peace to all memembers on our lovely forums
and
cheers and beers to our new one jamesmollo Very Happy

yeah, I'm not sure how banning works either - - obviously the guy(?) can't post in the threads (well, until he comes back under a new moniker), but I was tickled to get such vehement PMs - - something about my nose being brown or something. I deleted immediately of course with a nice chuckle to go along with it.

Man am I offended. I hardly ever get pms from the flakes and trolls. I'm thinking of changing my name to "Occupant" or "Whom it may concern" <ducking and running>

I've already let one mod know how I feel, good to see others share the sentiment
