Hi Folks,

I'm considering Chile vs. Peru for a four month stay coming up. I need to go away and work on a software project for a couple of months, so I'm looking for some place I can get an apartment with internet set up to work from. Yay me -- nerding out in one of the most exciting continents in the world.

I'm a surfer, so if I go to Chile I'd probably live in Arica or Iqueque.

Peru vs. Chile

Peru Budget - $500US mo. (200 Rent + food and utils)
Chile Budget - $700US mo (300 Rent + ...)

Peru - easy to get an apartment
Chile - difficult

Peru - Good octopus
Chile - Great wine

Peru - Provincial
Chile - mas metropolitan

Peru - Chicama
Chile - "Chilean Pipeline."

Any feedback? Is it has hard to get an apartment in Chile as they say?
