Does anyone have any info on this agency? Does anyone have any experiences? I would like to hear from anyone who has dealt with or heard anything.
I am considering getting a job through them and would like to hear from people.

The first thing that I notice is that they do not have their own website and are using a free email address. To me that is not a good sign as it indicates that they are not willing to invest any money into their 'business'. Whether they are new to the trade (and want to test the waters before investing money) or whether they have changed names and contact details to avoid getting a reputation, I think that this is something to be aware of. No matter which of the above two it may be it is going to make it difficult to research them.
They mention that they are licenced. I would ask more about this. If they are merely a registered business back home in their own country then that will not likely help you too much. If they are however licenced to recruit foreign teachers here in China then that would be a positive thing - but I doubt that you are going to find that to be the case.
They mention that all positions are with SAFEA recognized schools which if true is a good thing as it means that you can secure legal work documents. You can however contact most SAFEA recognized schools directly.
There is no information about where the 'business'is based and contact information other than just a free email address. I would want to get that if I were you.
Finally be sure to make contact with foreign teachers that they have placed before and whom they should be able to put you in touch with. The conundrum here of course is that as they are foreigners themselves it is going to be difficult to know if you are talking with a genuine customer or just one of the staff. Really a catch 22 when dealing with foreign recruiters!
Many recommend avoiding all recruiters. I don't agree with this as I believe that there are some good companies out there. If you are sure that you want to use a recruiter then I would tread carefully with this particular one as they don't seem to be a proven company. Perhaps try and find a company with a more established good reputation. |

they have pretty much listed across the board.....same advert.....they dont ask for money and talk bout getting visa help .. as to the SAFEA contract..not much help or assurance there..SAFEA schools can be just as shady ...
the most important part of their ad is this..

as to Clark's assertions that this agency doesn't have an established good reputation ... make up your own mind by making inquiries .... the ad says 5 years experience and Western owned and operated ..*(at least the licence) so why not submit your cv..cost nothing and your will be able to see if they do what they say they will....first thing I would ask is who holds the licence...although it is not that important that they have a licence as it makes little changes as to the outcome, with or without; the chances are the same.... |
