Hi everyone,
A quick question about internet access. After reading the forum on laptops and cellphones, I've also decided if I get a laptop, to get it from Canada before I leave. But what about internet access. Will my wireless work in Asia? We (me and my husband) haven't decided yet where we are going, but for sure it will be Asia. I thought most access is still dial-up, so I was debating if its even worth it to have internet access on the laptop. Help! Please!  |

| Most access in Japan is not dial-up. We have ADSL and in some places optic fiber connections. I use a wireless connection at home. Can't really tell you whether your Canadian wireless system would work in another country. Perhaps you should talk to someone more technologically aware. |
