| I travelled to Kunming while I was living and studying in Shanghai a few years ago and I'm interested in returning to live and teach there. I haven't seen any jobs advertized on this site for schools in Kunming and I'm looking for suggestions for finding teaching jobs there. Any comments or reflections would be greatly appreciated. | Not a few prospective teachers feel as you do. The agreeable climate of Kunming and the geographic diversity of Yunnan Province make the location attractive for many. Therefore the schools neither need advertise so much nor pay premium salaries. For those interested in Kunming, the best bet is to contact schools directly. |

Employment opportunities are pretty poor, pay reflects the high demand for jobs by FTs.
Maybe you can hit it off better in Dali. Was a sort of English-learning Mecca last time I transited it. |
