Hi,

I'm considering teaching in Satnaigo around late July of this year.

I've found tons of information on many posts but still have one burning question.

What is the social scene like in Santiago? Do teachers hang out with other teachers, local Chileans, or American expats? What is the dating scene like?

As an American male, I'm curious as to how Chilean women act towards foreigners.

Is the night life dull, or is it like Barcelona where random drunken strangers and tourists stagger through secrert bars and tight alleyways through all hours of the night?

Do any of you live with locals Chileans?

I'd appreciate any advice, stories or experiences from men or women on this topic.
