Harry the hobbit overheard this expression being used in a heated conversation between a lower ranking member of the teaching staff and someone ever so superior . From what the hobbit observed it appeared to come from the subordinate directed towards the lofty ivory tower dweller and was promptly stamped on with relish and gusto ,however said ivory tower dweller was not a native speaker and perhaps did not understand the gist of the expression , Harry difinitely does not ,so does any other poster have the whyfore to bring this hobbit a little clarity ?

I think the message was primarily about passing the point of no return and the said musrooms in question are of the type that induce sensations of being in ivory towers and so forth

Aha Tvik ! Theres a thing, do we have any mushrooms at our place ? Perhaps one or two people who eat them on a regular basis judging by what comes out of their mouths .
Another question Harry forgot to ask: " Is one a giver or receiver of mushrooms and have they been treated ? Hmmm , deep stuff this Ş.h.i .t
