Not so long ago I was chatting with a few Teflers and British English came up in conversation. They hadn't worked there and I told them of my adventures at the B.E. in Şişli -gun, knife, crazy Ronnie, rats and all. They were quite surprised and suggested that BE must have shaped up over the years.
Have you heard anything about B.E.? I searched this site and did a wee Google search. Didn't find much. |

Was she the one who needed a bottle of vodka to drop of to sleep? I think I remember a thread about her. |

Not surprisingly, you didn't get any responses worth a damn.
The Sisli branch isn't too bad. The owner's son (Sarp??) runs it. A decent fellow, who speaks Eng. well. They tend to mix the level of their students, so it's a bit difficult to teach. The school is a lot more organised than say three years ago. Last I checked the Head Teacher was the Manager's girlfriend.
The Bakirkoy branch has a Head Teacher from New York. Seems to be a lıkeable sort.

I remember a school I worked at asking me to do a Saturday Evening class in Şişli. I also remember the DOS been quite offended at my constant laughter whenever it was brought up. |

I'd rather work a Saturday night than a Sunday morning. Many teachers work Sunday morning. I used to but refuse now as I go to church then..... well ok I am old (not massive... yet)fart and can't teach with hangovers anymore. |
