Hi everyone,

I tried to post on the training forum but there is no response. So I thought I would try here. Please bear with me if this is not exactly the right place to ask this question.

I would like to know what the time line (schedule) is for the CELTA application. I applied online on May 4 for the course from Aug. 27 - Sep. 21. About when will the centers contact the applicants about whether or not they can proceed to the interview stage?

Only the centre concerned could provide you with this sort of information. You should be contacting them.

Thanks bje. I sent an email days before I posted here. But as of today, there is still no response from the center. That's why I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea on how it works before I bombard them with another email.

I guess I will send them another email again then. Thanks.

Don't know about this year but last year they had an online application process. It consisted of a series of questions about grammar and how you would explain teaching various concepts. I applied and waited a long time after submitting my answers before getting any response. A little frustrating.

The only reason I applied to IH was that Bell Schools in Poland was full by the time I applied last year. As I recall it was about this time of year.

So I took a week off last summer, flew to Warsaw from California, interviewed with Bell, and I'll begin my CELTA in August.

Then it's off to Gdansk to find a job.

Hey there,

I applied for the June CELTA course at IH Krakow and it took about a week for them to get back to me and schedule the interview. Hopefully they'll get back to you soon if they haven't already.
