I am working in Nanning, Guangxi, China. I have a private student here who is Vietnamese. His father is a diplomat. His assignment in China is over and the family will be returning to Hanoi in the next few days. His parents have asked me to help find someone to continue teaching him English.

The student's name is Nam. He is nearly 16 and has been studying in an international school in Nanning for the past two years. His parents want him to go to university in the UK or USA when he is old enough. So I have been preparing him for IELTS/TOFEL. These have been immersion classes as he speaks less Chinese than I do! His listening and speaking are well up to IELTS/TOFEL standards as is his reading comprehension. However his reading speed needs to improve. I have been working on his writing which has improved quite a lot. His basic grammar is solid but there is fine tuning to do on advanced grammar and he still lacks academic vocabulary to cover the range of topics found in IELTS/TOFEL papers.

He is quiet but hard working with better than usual reasoning skills and study habits although he needs to think faster. He has a realistic chance of passing IELTS/TOFEL given another few months practice.

His parents are nice people. They expect a professional approach and results but I have never had any trouble being paid well and on time.

This could be a good opportunity for an experienced professional teacher. If you are interested pm me with brief details of your qualifications and experience as well as contact details and I will pass them on to his parents. His mother speaks fluent English so she will take things from there.
