Which countries have short term jobs during the summer, 2-3 months? I'm looking for someplace which does NOT have hot weather. |

Summer there is winter here, so right now it's very cold. It's usually not easy to get work permits. YOu might want to look at volunteerabroad.com or teachabroad.com You might have to pay to come here.
Unless you can get a work visa, working legally is impossible and to get a work visa, places want you to stay atlesat six months.
Or else, work under the table. |

Asia might be an option. Korea and China, and Taiwan usually have positions.
Or Europe, the UK, Ireland, Italy and Spain are big ones as well. |

I'm really just trying to get out of the NYC heat and humidity for the summer. I'm not looking to make lots of money, but it would be nice to earn *something* to offset the costs of the trip. I can't stay too long as I have a school age child. My mom would probably come with me, so I wouldn't have to pay for babysitting. My husband would just come for a week or two. I've always wanted to go to Buenos Aires. Would it be hard to find an under the table job there?? |

I don't know about BsAs, though there is an Argentina forum, they might be able to help you. I just know about Peru.
However, in general, under the table jobs aren't difficult to find, just they can be risky and don't tend to pay less. If you have connections, you might be able to arrange for private lessons. They pay better.
One more thing about under the table jobs. Like I said, they're risky and bringing your mom and child makes it even more difficult.
Another idea, find a language school, and offer to volunteer. Have them provide you with housing and a small stipend. That might be a bit more legal.
But honestly, it's not like Asia, where they will get you a visa for a short time stint. |
