Depends on the type of job, location, have children or not, and your 'calibre'!

Welcome to the UK lifestyle, everything is taxable, even your inheritance will be taxed!

Unlikely, only 6% of people in the UK pay inheritance tax, and that was before the Government raised the threshold.

Is it OK for what? What do you need to pay out of it? What sort of life do you want to live? Which part of the country are you in? If you're paying rent, food , tax, bills and want a social life then 300p.w. gross in London could be an issue. While I'm asking questions, 300 pw for what? How much do you get per hour of your time?

I'm assuming that since you've just got back from Saudi and It's been years that you aren't likely to be living with your parents or looking to slum it although I've been wrong before. Are you planning on staying here or just filling in time? It all affects the answer - any chance of some more info?

Outside London it would be fine. Inside London if you can find some like-minded souls to house-share with it would be OK too.
