|
|
A simple question: where would be a good place to turn up in mid- to late July, armed with a BA in English, a CELTA and significant experience, and find steady work (meaning enough to support oneself, frugally) until at least the Christmas break? I have been thinking about Chile because it seems to be where the most vibrant market is, and the restrictions on working there don't seem to be as great as, say, Argentina or Brazil, but I'd like to hear some other suggestions. Thanks for any input. |

Well, that's the best thing to do, simply show up. I can only speak for Peru. Yes there are job openings at that time, usually at langauge schools. The difficult thing would be to get a visa. |

Nature Girl, what's the difficulty with the Peruvian visa? And since you're there, are there any places you would recommend? I'd prefer smaller and quieter if there's enough work. |

Ecuador works- pretty much all of Latin America would have at least a chance of what you're looking for.
Work is steady here, though not too well paid- you'd most likely find work in July, but not get too many hours until august or september...
slds,
