Thought I would put this question to MoHE English teachers in Oman.

Apart from the usual Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking topics, we all have had to envigilate and mark stuff like Assignments and Issue Logs etc, all should be finished this week.

So, by the 31st May the whole of all MOHE colleges in Oman will have no students, what will you do until the official leave date of 13th June??

We have a semi-official assignment to revise our program for internal consistency. The plan is that we get together and draft some proposals for the hotshots at the MOHE. That is the plan.

We will be planning our holidays!

We will also be going home a little earlier, making afternoon naps and late nights possible. See, I do appreciate local culture.

We just got a memo asking for suggestions to improve the first year students' appallingly low English skills (according to their teachers in their degree classes). I wonder if that is the same project that kuberkat mentioned. So... some brainstorming for that little problem, tracking down textbooks and materials for next semester, tea breaks...

I'm not leaving until July! Sad I couldn't change my ticket.
