Hi Forum,
My husband is working in S.Korea as an ESL teacher and I am an Indonesian. We plan to set up an esl Kindergarten school in Indonesia; hopefully next year.
We will like to start a small school, with some after school / Advance Class courses. What we want to know is what are the regulations?
- Number of teachers
- Curriculum
- Books
- Teacher's credentials
As according to my search, someone told me that we need to have clear curiculum, like if it is an International school, then we need to have the permission for our school from the ministry of Education from the country
But we do not want to buy any aboard licence, school name, we would like to arrange our curriculum, that meets the local student's abilities.
We would to have some feedback, thanks .

i'm not well versed in the regulations for setting up a school here but i can't see there being any regulations regarding the topics you mentioned ...there infact may be regulations for these things but i don't think i need to tell you that there are always ways around them. eitherway, good luck to you and your husband..... do you know yet where you were going to open your school? |

We are thinking to open the school in Bukit sentul or Bogor City or Bandung. We prefer in some of rich real Estate or many young parents ( Young executive ). We will like to have a kindergarten and advance school to start. and Maybe in future with some " Business English " for some executive.
We do not want to sell the "International Curiculum" name . like " Singapore Curiculum " that will rise expensive tuition fee, but we will like to start something affordable to local income and with good qlty of education ( Hopefully ). so we wil not going to have International school, but we will use local curiculum, + plus " English " as benefit to adapt to global world. Any info will be great for us. |
