Hello
My wife and I are both secondary teachers with a 9 year old son.
We are thinking of tecahing in an international school in UAE and would like to know a few things before we are sure that is what would be good for us as a family.
1. I amd a Math and Science teacher and my wife English and Art.
what i would like to know is there many jobs for us as a cpl in our subject areas. and what would we expect to get as a salary.
2. As a teaching cpl would we be able to get our son education in an international school paid for or partly part for.
3. The accomidation as a family is it organised for us or do we do that before we come. Is this comfortable and nice area for children.
Thanks i know there is a lot here but as a family i need to know that it will be good for us and safe.
Thanks Dave |

Employers tend to like teaching couples for overseas hire contracts as they save on TACOS. The better schools will educate your son for free or at a reduced fee. Housing is commonly but not always identified by the employer here. As for your teaching specialisms - well, proportionally they need just as many Maths and Science teachers and English teachers (L1) here as they do anywhere. There must be a web-site for regular school teaching somewhere, you'd get better answers there..... |

Hello Dave,
Give careful consideration to whom you accept as an employer - read all you can on this website about teaching in the UAE. Right now, the government jobs are the most financially lucrative.
Look into ENS as an employer or any other international school for that matter.
Good luck! |
