I'll be coming to Mexico in January, after I finish my year here in Argentina and go back to Ottawa for the Holidays.. I'm getting some documents legalized at the Mexican Embassy there, but I was wondering...
What do they do with the originals? Do they put stamps on them and 'ruin' them, or put a sticker on them?... Can these documents be reused afterwards for another country?
Or do they keep the originals in Mexico?
Thanks, Sabine. |

When I had my documents legalized in Canada, I had to go to the Mexican Consulate with both the originals and notarized copies. The notarized copies were affixed with some kind of special seal, but the originals went untouched. |

I had a friend do mine because I was already in Mexico. They put the stamps right onto the originals so now my diploma has a lovely seal showing through from the back onto the front. I'll have to get a new one if I ever decide to frame it. But it's been worth it to live in Mexico! |
