Has anyone had any problems with Amazon in Turkey. I know some people that use it on a monthly basis and don't have any hassle. However a student this morning was complaining about them/ postal system and books being lost.

I want to re-read

It's why I ask.

I've ordered stuff from Amazon.co.uk to be sent to Turkey and on one occasion the books failed to arrive. I queried it with them and without a murmur they despatched a replacement order which arrived safely. I was extremely impressed by their service.

I think it sounds cool.

And I've never had a problem with Amazon. In fact, my whole time here I've only had one package go missing, the one with a New York Times crossword puzzle book (from my folks, not Amazon)... Evil or Very Mad

The problem probably lies with your student's postman rather than Amazon.

In Samsun the postal system is so dire I have just given up on it. Only about 20 percent of our business mail reaches us so we have to have it all sent to my father-in-law's shop which is two hours away from us.

The only personal mail that has ever reached me were two cards from my ex that the doorman personally placed in my (then) fiance's hands! Even after this my fiance tried to get credit cards delivered to our flat and the post office called him and said it was not a registered address and they had no delivery there.... I have received no letters, photos, gifts from friends or family in all my months in Samsun.

The postal system is patchy in Turkey to say the least.
