|
|
I am currently in KSA and need to get my degree (from Australia) authenticated. I have an apostile from the Australian DFAT on the back from years ago, but according to personnel here I need it stamped by the Saudi embassy. Previous attempts to communicate with the Saudi embassy in Canberra have proven fruitless, and I don't know anyone in Canberra who could do this in person for me.
Any suggestions, other than ask at the Personnel Department? |

This can also be done through the Australian Embassy in Riyadh and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There are armies of people doing this sort of thing for you (for a fee !) |

The personnel department at work, for reasons of their own. |

If you want us to help you you need to find out what their reasons are (presuming they know them).
There are three different types of authentification.
For the work visa (which you already have) and which requires the degree to be authenticated by a notary public and his signature to be verified by the appropriate government authority.
For the employer, or ministry of education or higher education, which requires that the degree be authenticated by the Saudi Cultural Mission and a photocopy be stamped by them (the Saudi Cultural Mission are the only people who go to the trouble of checking your degree is real and has been issued to you)
For bringing your wife over, in which case the job needs to be done by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, who will probably require the degree to be stamped by the Saudi Embassy in the country the degree was issued from.
So, three entirely separate procedures to follow. |

If you are in or near Jeddah, you have to authenticate your degrees with the Australian consulate in Jeddah, and then you have to authenticate/certify them with the Saudi Ministry of Foreign affairs. As far as I know, the Saudi ministry of foreign affairs will not authenticate your degrees if they are not authenticated from the Australian embassy, consulate, or the Australian ministry of foreign affairs. |

007-Thanks
Ok that sounds pretty good then right? I assume the Australian consulate will not get into if the degree was completed by distance or on campus but rather simply is it authentic and it is mine? Then after that am I right to assume the Saudi Min. of Foreighn Affairs will put stamp to paper?
Thanks again! |
