I know this has been thrashed to death, but here's an advert in Today's job list.
Applicants must possess a CELTA/Trinity or relevant degree and one of the following passports: US/UK/AUSTRALIA/CANADA/NZ. Visa regulations also restrict us to applicants 26-55 years of age. Contract details include max 24 contact hours per week (M to F), economy return airfare, 5 million rupiah per month (net), free, modern shared housing close to school, 20 days holiday a year plus bonus on completion of contract, medical cover and all visa/work permit costs are covered by the school.

Shouldn't worry about it. On those terms and conditions nobody will apply for it anyway. |

It is more likely that medical insurance premiums 'restrict' their desire to hire outside this age bracket.
How can they explain the fact that many expat teachers are above the age of 55 here in Indonesia?
Yes, this topic has been thrashed to death, but no answer has been provided. |
