More or less, true. It's very, very difficult to get a work visa in Brazil, especially if you want to teach English. Most people get jobs through being in the country and knocking on doors.
Also, I wouldn't say that Brazil is not a popular destination. Thing is that you really can't make much money there teaching ESL. You might be able to get by, but you won't save much. Most people in this field will gravitate to the places they can make the most, like Asia and the Middle East. |
