I wonder if anyone has made a major error while teaching English, which they had to recover from quickly.

I sometimes use Spanglishisms but once I gave as an example:

Swing - swang - swung
Ring - rang - rung
... Bring - brang - brung !!! Embarassed

I managed to get out of it by saying "Just joking!" ... I think they believed me! Very Happy

I once said "Louse, lice" "Mouse, mice" "House, HICE!!!!!!!"
whooooooops, yeah OK! I also played it off like I was testing them to see if they'd catch me. Of course they believed me since it seems impossible that an english speaker COULD BE THAT FOCKING DUMB!!!! Embarassed
