Hello,

I found this list in one of the threads of the documents you need to get a work visa:

1. Petition on a letterhead paper of the company (Turkish)
2. Photo (5)
3. Passport and copy of the illustrated and last entry pages of the passport
4. A Resident Declaration Form (filled with typewriter or computer and coloured )
5. Working permit and copy of it. (obtained from Ministry of Labour and Social Security ).
6. Circular of signature specimens.
7. Activity Document.
8. Certificate of tax registration.
9. Commercial registration gazette.
10. Working visa obtained from Turkish Representatives abroad.

I'm wondering what other preliminary documents you may need to get any of those (mainly 4 thru 10). If it's your first time teaching in Turkey, are there any specific documents/records you will need to produce beforehand to get those (tax/medical/background check/birth certificates, etc...) I already have all my diplomas, certificates, but I'm wondering if any other stuff will be required that I should know about beforehand.

Also, I've read in some posts from past years that you have to get your first visa from your home country. Is that still the case? So if I'm in China now and I come to Turkey for a job in September, will I have to return to the U.S.A. to get my visa after arriving in Turkey?

Thanks a lot for any info .... Mep

That's a lot of documents...

In my pm I forgot to mention the photos. Always the photos. How could i have forgotten the photos? Shocked

The other stuff, I think, the school should get for you (mine all did for me). Not sure what the resident declaration form is. How can you be a resident if you haven't even arrived? Maybe this is for when you're already here and applying from within the country (as my school is doing for me)?

I wonder what they do with all those fotos!!
My school arranged everything and I only had to give them copies of my degree, fill in a form that was like a CV, at least 453 fotos and that was about it. There was nothing complicated involved at least not for my part.
