I'd like to teach in Vietnam or another Southeast Asian country for four months this winter -- Nov. - Feb. and I'm wondering how I can find work for just this time period. I know this is not the regular school year. It is, however, the time I have free.
I have a Bachelor's in Education (social sciences and English), a lifetime California Secondary Teaching Credential and a Masters in Library Science, with lots of experience as a teacher, with computer databases and as a university librarian. Do you know if I might find university students who would want help learning English and/or need help with library research and writing their papers? I do not have training in ESL at this time -- not sure if I would need this certificate.
A related question -- would this bring in a stable income? I'd like to cover my basic travel expenses. Any advice you can give me would be very much appreciated. |
