I have a degree, legit TEFL cert, and over one year of experience.
I can only stay for 4-5 months, from March-August.
Money isn't a big concern, so part-time work is fine.
Beautiful beaches are a must, as is a relaxed atmosphere. (boring is okay)
What areas/cities should I be looking into? Quintana Roo? Cozumel? |

if mexico is a no-go due to my inability to commit to a long contract, does anyone know of any other latin-american or south american countries where short-term stays are possible? |

Tough time of year for a relatively short stay, especially in heavy tourism areas. Many others will be doing the same as you plan. If you're looking to be a tourist and volunteer on the side (as I read you), why not try a less frequented area? Try the Pacific coast...better chance there at picking up some lightly paid work while you enjoy the beach. |
