This is too important a topic not to have its own thread, and no ImanH, I wasn't cheating. |

Great idea Faustino. Let's see if we can get this to compete with some of those really long threads on other forums (fora?).
I am wondering how many people will publicly admit they are fans of Eastenders? Or is it just me who is embarrassed, given the amount of ridicule I was subjected to by my family?
And is it only Brits - and Irish - who are into it, or does it have cross-cultural appeal? |

A great number of Turkish teachers of English watch Eastenders. Personally, I feel there has been an underrepresentation (is that a word?) of London's Turkish population on the show. To my knowledge, there haven't been any Turkish inhabitants of the square since the legendary Osman brothers of the late 80s.
I didn't see it last night, so somebody please tell me who died!!! |

I've missed a lot lately because I tend to work nights during the week but am not ambitious enough to settle down on a lovely sunday afternoon to watch the omnibus.
Who died, anyway?
(small aside: when I was living in Ireland a decade ago, I shared a house with the older brother of Sharon's boyfriend who died in the fire---I forget his name but he was quite adorable) |

I haven't followed it so much since Steve Owen was killed off. I just don't find Andy Hunter to be as charismatic a nemesis. |

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!
I can't believe you did that dmb.
Right, that's it.
War is declared. I will stalk you until I discover which football/cricket/rugby team you support (oh no I know that already from the men's thread) then I will find out when you have recorded a game and spent all day trying to avoid hearing the score and then I will tell you.
OK. I know that won't work but I will find some suitable retribution.
Dammit, dammit, dammit. |

Sorry ImanH. I promise I won't tell you how it happens. But one of them is alot more exciting than the other one. If it is any consolation I do the same to my friends and inform them of upcoming plots |

You sound just like my older brother. He loves to spring plot busters on you like that. I think it's the spectacle of me being reduced to infancy he enjoys - me running out of a room with my fingers in my ears singing lalalalala loudly, in order to avoid hearing.
Unfortunately there's no internet version of plot busters avoidance tactics, so you'd best keep your promise not to divulge the plot.
Please. |

I know Dirty Den was out of the show for a few months recently as the real life conduct of actor Lesley Grantham was deemed too embarassing for the BBC to put up with. I guess he's too much of a liability.
I don't know what he was getting up to, but I'm sure you could find out by visiting www.thesun.co.uk |

inanilmaz DMBcim. I must confess that I've visited that site more than once, just to check the footy scandals!!!
ImanH - DMB supports Glasgow Rangers, and they sometimes show highlights on Eurosport at about midnight during the week sometime. |
