Here's the story:
I'm looking for a 6-month or so TESOL (or Admin) adventure n Amrica Latina. I have a BA, I have a few years of teaching experience (volunteering mostly), and I don't have a TESOL or CELTA cert. I'm going to start work for my Fulbright grant in Argentina this coming March, so I'd have to stop working some time before then.
I'm doing an internet job search but people have advised me to just kind of show up where I want to teach and try to make contacts in person. I haven't seen many postings here for jobs in LA, and I wonder if I should just kind of go and make it happen. Right now I'm thinking of either going to Argentina early or going somewhere like Panama.
(Poll question) How did you find your TESOL job in LA? Do you suggest going to the country first to try to find job contacts?
Thanks! |

Do you know where you want to go? If you have a country in mind, start PMing people here on the board who live here. COntacts are gold. |
