This is from my perspective after almost a year in KL.

Good

The Babes- It's always summer here so the babes are always looking lovely.

My School- It's like teaching in Canada only better.

The Students- Very respectful, love to joke, and work hard.

Easy Access to S.E. Asia- Gotta love Air Asia.

Lack of Racism- It's a multi-cultural country and nobody will stare or generally give a crap that you're a foreigner.

Lack of FT's- When people meet me the first thing they ask me is if I'm a student. When I tell them I'm a teacher they dont say, "Oh, English teacher?"

Food- I'm puting this here because most people rave about it. I find it ok, which makes it much better than Korean or Chinese in my opinion.

Bad

Beer Prices- About the same as Canada.

Wages- No matter what your qualifications are, you probably won't be happy with your pay package.

Beer Quality- Tiger and Carlsberg are crap. I had three big bottles of Carlsberg last night and I couldn't get out of bed until after 3 pm. Methinks Carlsberg isn't too strict on quality control out here.

GDP Per Capita- It's a bit high for my liking. It's not as easy to find a date here as in other Asian countries. The women here are happy dating locals so you have to put in some effort.

Taxi Drivers- Scumdogs of the Universe. Hands down the worst in the world. If you plan on living here get a scooter or car.

Riding a Scooter- I should have lost my life in an accident about six months ago, but I'd still rather ride my scooter than give one sen to a taxi driver.

Malaysian Drivers- Not as bad as Chinese, but they can give them a run for their money.

Conclusion

Overall, I'm pretty happy here. This is the first time I've ever decided to stay for more than one year in a foreign country.

Finding a date is dependant on GDP LOL!!!! Maan, this is well sad!!! talk about painting a grim picture of yourself...lol, or maybe you should be praised for being so honest Smile

When I was in Malaysia, finding a date was more dependant on wether you played lead guitar for a kick-ass Malay rock band or not....which I did.....Hot P***Y.....R.I.P

Don't let these guys corner the market. There's nothing wrong with Malaysia. Women drop to their feet for foreigners in this country, unless your ugly, even then you'll still meet. You can earn a very good living here..no problem. They want teachers. There's a reason why that yoyo is making close to 9000 rm a month is because everyone believes him when he says jobs here are scarce. Don't listen to that fruitcake go down there and see for yourself.

About the women I get e-mails from women in Malaysia all the way to Canada minimum 3 times a week when i'm back home so I have no idea what you're talking about with dating locals. That's because they have no choice! There's no foreigners going there because you keep discouraging them. Then you get a sweet enough job and open a blog.

Not bad for a teacher that's slowly going bald.
