has anyone used this website and if so, have you found it useful for practical teaching purposes in china? my experience in taiwan was that some schools didn't use textbooks (foreign teacher classes) and i had to bring my own material. using a lesson plan from a website such as english-to-go seems to be a good idea, but for large classes (40-50 each) could mean an immense amount of photocopying. any opinions? any similar sites with lesson plans?
cheers.

I used english-to-go.com in China a couple of years ago, teaching some key senior middle school kids and some university students. I found it useful, and got around the excessive copying issue by letting pairs use one copy (first, I cut and pasted to get only what I wanted). Also, if you have access to an overhead projector, you can make transparencies and use it that way.

I wouldn't use this exclusively, but it does make for a solid lesson plan with little effort on your part.

Coping with the wasteful output I cut and pasted(horizontally and vertically) the resulting secti ons on an A 3 sheet.

The sections were separated using a black feltpen and numbered.

If it could not fit, is was discarded.

Lovely stuff, use it with other sources: e.g. Murphy's grammar or English at Work

I haven't been able to access english-to-go.com - do you have a more complete address?

By the way, I've found http://www.onestopenglish.com/ an excellent sourse of materials. Anyone else got some recommendations to make?
