Anyone know how this works? I contacted the organisations and they told me to contact the place here (Britanico) so I contacted Britanico. After 15 mintues of explaining that I wanted to become an examiner, not take the exam and not become a teacher, They told me to contact IELTS and Cambridge. |

Not sure but think you have to contact centres that run IELTS exams - they should be able tp put you in touch with the trainers. Then it's a case of an interview, filling in some paperwork and attending training sessions.
The IELTS website might be able to tell you more. |

The centres that run the exams (usually the British Councils, but it looks like in Peru there's a different organisation) organise training sessions depending on their needs for oral examiners.
Here, in Prague, there's not so much going on as far as IELTS is concerned, but apparently there's a growing need for Cambridge oral examiners. I trained for CAE earlier this year, and I'm looking at at least one more exam to train for in autumn.
You should contact the exam coordinator and he/she will put you in touch with the Team Leader. You fill in an application and stay in their database until they decide they need more examiners. |
