Anyone know how this works? I contacted the organisations and they told me to contact the place here (Britanico) so I contacted Britanico. After 15 mintues of explaining that I wanted to become an examiner, not take the exam and not become a teacher, They told me to contact IELTS and Cambridge.

Not sure but think you have to contact centres that run IELTS exams - they should be able tp put you in touch with the trainers. Then it's a case of an interview, filling in some paperwork and attending training sessions.
The IELTS website might be able to tell you more.

The centres that run the exams (usually the British Councils, but it looks like in Peru there's a different organisation) organise training sessions depending on their needs for oral examiners.

Here, in Prague, there's not so much going on as far as IELTS is concerned, but apparently there's a growing need for Cambridge oral examiners. I trained for CAE earlier this year, and I'm looking at at least one more exam to train for in autumn.

You should contact the exam coordinator and he/she will put you in touch with the Team Leader. You fill in an application and stay in their database until they decide they need more examiners.
