hey all-
I have been in Chapala for six months now. I have a pretty cush job at a local school teaching English and Guitarra with good pay. But, this place is kinding of boring me and I am thinking heavily about where to go to next.
Here is where: (in no particular order)
1. Guanajuato
2. Colima/Manzanillo
3. Puerto Vallarta
4. San Miguel
suggestions? feedback and impressions highly encouraged.
thanks |

To teach? Those are great places not to teach in. I personally love Guanajuato, the city, but I don't think there are many teaching jobs there. There are schools in Leon, about half an hour from Guanajuato but Leon is ugly. |

You can teach English anywhere in Mexico, pretty much. The two questions are: how much are you going to make? And how many hours a week are you going to work?
I think that if there were great jobs in Guanajuato-Zacatecas-Acapulco and Cancun, those places would be full of teachers. Instead, the places with the most teachers are DF and Guadalajara. |

I really liked Colima, I would go there. The weather is hot and there are good beaches nearby.

I recently read Colima and Manzanillo were rated #1 in overall quality of life in Mexico. |

As opposed to Chapala, you might have to know some Spanish in Colima. Best of luck and let us know how it goes. |

I think you are confusing Chapala with Ajijic. In Chapala you do actually have to know Spanish. Thanks for looking out. |
