The first one I don't know. maybe you mean Teaching English as a Foreign Language? |

My guess would be that TOFEL is a mis-spelling of TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language.
The three acronyms that typically describe this field are TESOL, TEFL, and TESL, and people often confuse TEFL and TESL.
